Paris CDG lounges: which ones, and how to get in

Almost every lounge at Charles de Gaulle sits in Terminal 2E. Terminal 1 has the Star Alliance lounge; Terminals 2A–2D, 2G and 3 have none worth planning around.
Two of them can be entered without any status or ticket class: the Icare lounge, at around €45 walk-in, and YotelAir. Everything else runs on alliance status or cabin.
Where the lounges are
The distribution is uneven, and it matters when you choose a flight. Terminal 2E concentrates almost everything; Terminal 1 has one; the rest have none.

Opening hours vary and are changed regularly by the operators; treat any figure you find online as indicative and check on the day. YotelAir is the exception — it operates around the clock.
Air France La Première
In Terminal 2E, hall M. Reserved for La Première first-class passengers and entered by invitation only — it is not accessible through status alone. It is consistently the highest-rated lounge at the airport, and it offers spa treatments and a Ducasse menu.
Air France Business
Spread across halls K, L and M of Terminal 2E. Open to passengers travelling in the business cabin and to SkyTeam Elite Plus members. Because it spans three halls, the one you can reach depends on your gate — worth checking before walking.
Star Alliance Lounge
The only lounge in Terminal 1, airside, reached after immigration and security. Open to Star Alliance Gold members. Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines also operate partner spaces serving Star Alliance passengers at the airport.
Qantas Lounge
In Terminal 2E, for oneworld Sapphire and Emerald members and Qantas business passengers.
Icare Lounge
In Terminal 2E. The one that matters most to travellers without status: it accepts Priority Pass and admits walk-in guests for around €45. If you are flying economy and want somewhere to work before a long-haul departure, this is the practical answer at CDG.
YotelAir
In Terminal 2E, open around the clock, accepting walk-in guests and Priority Pass. Its round-the-clock operation makes it the option for very early departures and long night connections, when the airline lounges are closed.
Getting in without business class
Three routes, in order of how often they work:
- Alliance status. Flying Blue and SkyTeam Elite Plus, Star Alliance Gold, oneworld Sapphire or Emerald members may use their alliance's lounges whatever their cabin — usually with one guest.
- Priority Pass, accepted at Icare and YotelAir.
- Paying at the door, at Icare for around €45. The airline and alliance lounges do not sell entry.

Before the lounge, the drive
A lounge is only worth reaching if you arrive with time to use it. At CDG the variable is never the terminal — it is the road: the same journey from western Paris can take twice as long at eight in the morning as it does at two in the afternoon.
